For me, breastfeeding was hard at the start, but after a few tips and making sure I had the right essentials things were going fairly smoothly. After a while, I felt as though LO wasn’t getting as much milk as he may be wanting. He’d been gaining weight at a good rate and having the right amount of wet diapers, but I felt that there was more I could do to provide him with the best breastmilk that I can give.
That’s when the recipe searching began, and after lots of scrolling through Pinterest and trials in the kitchen I’ve come up with a few lactation boosting recipes that I eat every day, one of which includes this green matcha spin of a lactation boosting smoothie.
Green Matcha Lactation Boosting Smoothie
The rolled oats, flax seeds and chia seeds help boost your milk production, and the matcha, spinach, pineapple, and apple are jam-packed with nutrients to keep you fueled through all of your mom duties, not to mention this smoothie is delish!
This green matcha lactation boosting smoothie is super easy to make. Just throw all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. The only prep you have to do is to cut the green apple, but if you have an apple slicer (one of my fave gadgets in the kitchen) this is super easy to do. I always eat the apple with a few lactation boosting snack bites (let me know if you want the recipe in the comments below) with the smoothie for a super filling super good for you breakfast, but you could also save them for a yummy fruit salad or another smoothie.
