These trail mix banana nut muffins are the perfect grab and go snack for busy moms, toddlers, and the whole family. Around here we eat a whole lot of muffins and snack balls so I’m always looking for ways to switch things up while keeping it relatively healthy. These have no refined sugar or white flour so you can have peace of mind when your toddler starts shoveling them back. I know what it’s like having a kiddo that loves carbs so at least with these healthy snack recipes you can know they’re getting some good stuff mixed in.

The best banana nut muffin recipe. A tasty healthy muffin recipe for toddler snacks.

Healthy Trail Mix Banana Nut Muffins

You can freeze these healthy muffins ahead of time if you make them in batches, but if you’re only making a dozen you’ll want to leave them out cause they’ll get gobbled up fast and you’ll be left knowing they’ve filled up on some good stuff 🙂

My trick is to swap things like sugar, oil, and flour, for healthier options like honey, coconut oil, and almond flour, but you can use the traditional items if that’s what you have lying around the house. Just swap them out 1:1 for the ingredients listed. You can use any trail mix for the muffin recipe, but I gotta say, my Sweet and Salty Trail Mix is pretty darn good with them.
